Using Summit II Valve adapters on pumps for hybrid float tubes (Seven Bass Design Explorer) and pontoons.

Good evening guys hope all is well. I just wanted to do a quick instructional article for any one dealing with hybrid float tubes or Pontoons. I recently purchased a Seven Bass Explorer Hybrid Float tube. I noticed right off the bat that the float tube had a different valve system than the fish cat 4 that I have. Luckily the Seven Bass float tube came with a foot pump. I used it and I liked it. But I remembered that I have a double action pump. I wanted to use it but found out quickly that I didn't have the right valve adapter  on the  double action pump. Quickly I went online and did some research. It turns out anything that uses pontoons uses summit pontoon valves. My float tube, the seven bass design explorer uses the summit II valve. The fat cat also uses the Summit II valve. In case you are using a double action pump like me you can purchase a Summit II valve adapter  and a 3/4 inch thick vinyl tube to connect to your existing Pump. You can buy the Summit II valve adapter on  the outcast website and a 1 inch long , 3/4 inch thick vinyl tube can be bought at home depot or your local hardware store. After getting the Summit II Valve adapter and attaching it to the Vinyl tube which is then connected to my double action pump. The Seven Bass Design Explorer filled up super fast.

I hope this helps out in case you find your self in a situation like mine where instead of using the foot pump given by Seven Bass design. You instead want to use  a double action pump.

Great information 562fly!  Thumbs Up

Thank you for sharing all of your time taking research with all of us.
I'm certain that others have been experiencing the same issues as you have.

I purchased a Savage Gear 170 and found my Ozark pump will not work because they do not include an adapter. It also came with a foot pump, not bad , but I tend to lose my balance if I get really rough with the foot pump. I guess I should have tried my adapter that came with my Super Fat Cat........GT

Yeah, the super fat cat uses the summit II valves. So if you got the adapter laying around your in luck.
