Well, the semester started today, so after my class, I headed down to HH for a short and spontaneous session. I was on the water for about 2 hours, and got only 1 bite the entire session. But that 1 bite turned into my PB Spottie! Pitched the mint 3/8 oz Large 4 inch HUB under a dock and as I rolled it out, I hooked this big guy. He fought hard, but thank goodness I was using my baitcaster setup. My usual light spinning gear setup might not have been able to pull him out from the dock without getting hung up on the piling. I measured how long he was on my rod, and it turned out to be between 19 and 20 inches long. Got him back in the water within a minute or two and he swam off as strong as he came in.
