3rd NPH Session of the year, spottie mashing, 1/21/2015

Well here we go again, Hope all is well, quick report from yesterday at NPH...

Met up with 2 buds, one of them new to the floating..and my bud Oscar thats been to the gatherings....

I launched at 530ish..PM and kicked over to where my buds were, we worked the docks to the bridge....when i got to where they were my bud had already picked one up,  threw my go to right now and on the first cast bam! fish on pic of the first one and didnt take anymore as the 5 more were spotties and a lizard fish for a 7count! Lost 3...boo....swung to early

Id say 3 of them were this size and the rest dinks...great night, we started kicking back at 845pm and ended at 9pm

All caught on the ZOOOOOOMMMMM  LOL

My next go to bait i hope can be the hammers...i have every color in them but i suck at throwing them and using them, i get inpatient real quick, i mean like 2 cast and i go im not feeling it hahah and back to my go to's...

Good going on the spotties! The zoom flukes have always produced well for me, but on texas rigs. Hammers are great! One of my confidence baits as well. It gets easier once you get bit on it. Took me a while to get used to fishing them honestly, but after that first hook up, the flood gates open! I like to fish my hammers like jigs. Cast out, let it sink, hop it a few times. crank in a few times, let sink, hop it, etc. Wish I could be out there with ya, but this year's flu is kicking my butt. Looks like the flu shot didn't work for me
