Los Angeles Harbor

Launched at 05:30 hrs and out by 10:30 hrs
Water temp:  66°.
Air temp : 62° in the morn to 67° when I got out.
Distance traveled kicking: 1.12 miles. Calories Burnt: 777
Wind:5 mph the entire session

I had the entire Harbor to myself !
I received multiple hard hits that broke me off!  Too exciting!
I must have re-tied my leader 8-10 times and lost $30 worth of gear.
I'm blaming it all on the earthquakes! Cool

25 fish landed, 3 species:

(13) Sandy's, best 16 1/4”. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
(10) short Spotty's, best 13 1/2".[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
(2) short Halibut, best 19 1/2".[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

I think the seal is telling you to get lost brother. You are catching too many fish.

Nice morning and thanks for sharing.

Nice work Dan!

Your reports are inspiring to say the least!

I was holding down the fort in Long Beach harbor.

Water temp 64 degrees in West Basin. A few boats were fishing near where I work, but I wasn’t seeing much production. I think this area is shut down due to all the construction around here?!?

Hi ya KrazyFish,
First of all thank you for chiming in with a very positive response to my report.
Next, Yes it could be the case with construction work near you or it could be that the moon phase is approaching the quarter moon phase and or it could be the earthquake action disturbing the fish bite.
Look forward to the bite turning around as we approach the full moon phase.
Dan

Hi ya Toby,
I don’t know if my stix was “on fire” but I did manage to get a few fish to hang onto the bait long enough for me to land them! lol
Tight lines

Good luck in the tournament that starts tomorrow! Thumbs Up
