Decided to go to Alamitos Bay this morning. Slept through the alarm so launched an hour late (7:15) from Mom’s. Got “excused” from my first stop by a pair of humans (one of each gender) claiming to be from the Marine Bureau. They informed me fishing “is not allowed near the boat docks—-only in the open bay”.  I was polite, claimed ignorance (true), and kicked away. They drove off in their unmarked white truck.  After that I kicked to another area just east. Pitched the green HUB and started getting lots of bites. Ending up catching 6 decent spotties and 1 plump sandie.

Politeness will go a long way with a lot of officials.

Good to hear that you hung in there and that you ended-up landing a few more nice one's! WTG! Thumbs Up

What a healthy looking spottie. Nice morning on the water regardless of the human interaction.

Thanks for sharing.
