I used the 4" shrimp ( nuclear chicken) which got me that 18" spotty Sunday cheers . But I want to buy some more and don't know what else works good for the harbor. Any suggestions? Shocked

I am a plastics man myself (that sound weird) but I think I am going to need to save some coin to get into the gulp baits they work so well.

They do work great and the stank is in the plastics, so no need to add extra flavor. But pretty pricey!

the jerk shad and swimming mullet works pretty good.
lead head or drop shot the jerk shad and i like to use a owner darter lead head for the swimming mullet.

I myself have stopped using the gulp! due to the price and they dry up fast whether you seal the baggy correctly or not.

I just started using them, didn't know they don't hold up in the bag they come in? I guess I need to fish more! Lol

I use Gulp Shrimp in Nuclear chicken and New Penny, I also use the 5 inch Gulp Jerk Shad in the same colors. My favorit swim bait is a 3 inch Sassy Shad (Mr Twister) and the 3 inch Big Hammers for the harbor.

I'm with Ed here. I have those with me at all times. They are a tough bite - go to bait!

when i was not getting hit on those this old man in a yak told me to throw out a white crank bait and sure enough the fish started to hit so dont limit your bait i start off the thinging ever time and try it for 15-20 minutes and then goto something else and if nothing then i try another and another for about 1-2 hours and if nothing then i goto my GOTO BAITS. i like trying new stuff cause it a skill builder for me and i also try to pay attension on the bait i use and when it get the hit so you can to how to use what you have when thats all you have and i think you become a beter fisherman Very Happy

My first and only day out I used the 2" shrimp (nuclear chicken color) per Capt Kirks advice while in the docs and between the boats and I landed a few bass and missed a few hits. I landed the hali on a small 2" war mouth blue gill swim bait that I normally use for freshwater bass. Seems like both work well so i'll probably continue with those.

I'll have to try a crank bait next time since the bite was on and off. Do you use a deep water or shallow crank bait?
