Yeah, it was like a little Fiesta out by the Los Patos bridge! Probably ten to twelve fishing craft of various shapes and sizes...
I was the loan float tube representative.
Bright sunshine and 67 to 70 degree water temps.
Water has cleaned up significantly, with no red tide to report.
I launched at boat ramp by 0915 (yes, late start).
Fished a 4 inch clouser deep minnow fly I tied with chartreuse SF fibers the whole time.
Five solid takes but only got one to stick... 14 inch spotty.
Did not meter many fish, but when I did find the fish, I got takes...
Going to trim some material off my flies and see off my grab to hook up ratio improves.
Anyway, got out at 1300. Went home and patched a hole I found in the outer liner of my tube...
I guess my main reason for this report is:
Good water quality and rising surface temps. in HH.
LOTS of folks fishing the Los Patos Estuary and Bridge area.
Go get some!
