Well, I’ve been waiting for my new Cumberland to come in ok can take it out.
I JUST got my new waders in and some thruster fins.
I was just waiting on the tube lol
Well Tuesday after work…I tore my calf muscle.
I will be on the mend for at least….6 weeks.
Sooner if i follow strict Rehab routines but i will not be %100 for awhile.
This blows!
Any tips for rehab or quicker recovery?  Anyone ever tear a muscle?
This is my 2nd time, same leg.

I tore my gluteus maximus -- largest skeletal muscle in the body; the butt cheek!  When it started to spasm it was the most painful thing I had ever felt.  I thought I had broken or dislocated my hip or something.  I went from the ski slope to the emergency room, thinking something really, really serious had happened.

I was on crutches for quite a while.  As with any injury of that type, follow your physical therapist's rehab regimen and don't push things.  Maybe the nice, smooth, impact-free excersize of finning your tube will fit into your physical therapy at some point!

Man i can’t even imagine. lol if the calf is this painful i don’t wanna think about the butt lol
My leg spasms when i’m icing or elevating and it sucks.
Someone else had mentioned that, maybe it would help!

Sorry about the calf. I tore mine too some years back and my recovery was longer than yours. It's a literal 'pain' to move about with that torn calf. This is a time when a trolling motor on a float tube would work great and no fins....Smile

Ya it sucks the big one.
this is the second time i tore this muscle. The 6 week recovery was the minimum recommended before i went back to work last time.
It actually took months for me to be able to move without feeling any pain.
This tear doesn’t feel AS bad but it’s still painful.
hopefully i heal quick and i can get back to work and fishing.
and not in that order lol
