Just curious what do you prefer. Soft plastic baits or Hard baits. If you could only fish one what would it be.

I agree with this statement completely. I love surf fishing as well as float tubing and my go to in the sand is the LuckyCraft Flash Minnow. I’ve been scared to use on on the float tube with their super sharp treble hooks (times 3 of em). For the bays I really like the Hookup Baits tube jigs and lately have been using various J-Bros lures on Nedrigs or Texas style. Warbaits heads with or without skirts seem to work well also with Keitech swim baits.

For Jeff’s original question if I was limited to one : for the bays it would be a RedCrab Hookup Bait. For the surf Cherry Berry LuckyCraft Flash minnow.

I have heard if some good catches in the Lucky Craft. And ya Hookup Baits just plan work. And I am really starting to like the J Bro's for sure.

It’s all about zman.
Spotties, calicos, halibut , 100 fish days at Barrett, toothy critters at cedros island
Indestructible .
Not sure how these guys stay in business as I am still using baits bought 4-5 years ago.
Used same deizel minnow for 10 sessions, multiple fish.
Only really lose them from break offs, never from wear and tear.
Holds scent well, floats tail up
Just don’t mix w other plastics and keep in original packaging, will cut back on your tackle spend

Nice endorsement for Zman I mean that.

Love the LC 110 and that's all threw in the surf for a long time as it caught big perch, corbina, halibut, croaker and my first ever striper.
Just that the stock hooks bend way too easy, and even upgrading to owner stinger trebles they still bend out on big fish.
Seem to stick anglers no problem though as i have taken out my share of LC trebles from myself and others over the years. Throw back 16 years ago Monster on the LC from the surf in my younger days

I’ve changed a few of my LCs to inline singles with no problems getting bites. Makes releasing perch a breeze.

Seeing as I fish freshwater exclusively, I would obviously go soft baits over hard baits.
