Got lots of these guys yesterday on a silver 1/32 0z jig. Not big, but a blast on ultralight tackle.

All black, Black with a pink glow-in-the-dark head, Silver (or grey),bright green and pink. All these colors have worked good for me. The thing is that when you clean these panfish, their stomachs always contain lots of aquatic insects that are dark green and black, and baby shad- so you want to kind of match what they are feeding on.

Nice fish, as far as not being big I'd say for panfishing in Southern CA that is not bad at all. Only bigger ones I have seen are at LMV, they have some moster sun fish in there.

Good info on the feeding part i got a tiger shark one time and it was about 2 foot and i was getting the hook out to release the shark and it is a strong lil guy and i grab him a lil hard to the mid section and he spit out a lil grab and a mussle and before that it was a slow night until i changed up to what i seen come out of that lil shark he was released safely and was really quick but he gave me my ideal bait after that and started the catching

Great looking Perris pan fish. I'm going to try and get back out there the next couple of Saturdays.
