Made the moonlight run at 445 to get to the back of one of the arms at daybreak to take advantage of first light topwater. Got 10 on top with small whopper plopper, pompadour, frog.
As soon as the sun is up, it has been scratch fishing on underspin, small white swimbaits to match the micro fry, shad. Made the long run to the other arm of the lake but water dropping weekly and areas that were good producers last month are now high and dry with weeds growing in. I tried some offshore areas but I dont have a deep game.
Brutal winds came on about 1030 with 15 mph gusts, white caps, narrow interval wind waves making it tough for tubers, kayakers to get back to launch.
Although catching was not great, was able to see how much the scadden detonator could handle with pretty bad conditions traveling a total of 6 miles. Normally 50Ah lasts me all day just using to move spots and relying on fins once there.
Depleted my 50Ah lithium with nascar start running on high in the morning along with all the kayakers and boaters to get to the spots at daybreak, running all the way to the other arm and fighting the wind on the return but got me 95% back home. Broke out the back up battery for the first time.
