I don't think I have ever heard of someone painting there tube. But adding some reflective strips might not be a bad idea.

Thanks, I saw the orange reflective tape on Amazon, I'm sure they have it at the big box stores too. Maybe I can just wear a bright shirt/jacket/hat? Better yet, maybe I can just get a new tube, in a solid color that has good contrast against the water! cheers

Yes, I have been spraying the end caps of my Cumberland tube bladders with a black flex-seal in order to protect the threads from being worn or cut. I’ve been doing this for years.
As seen in photo.

For just a couple of dollars, you could mask-off and spray paint your end-caps with a fluorescent orange, and the same thing on the bow. Good luck either way you decide to go! 👍🏼

One suggestion: Be certain that you’re tubes are fully inflated at the time of spraying and try to get a spray with some sort of a rubberized compound in it for flex . It’s worth a try and much less expensive than buying another float tube! 👍🏼
