I had the pleasure of taking my other twin Eion to Otay this morning.
Last Sunday when I took his brother the water temp. was 53°, and although it was a great day on the water, we were skunked. Today the water temp was up 4 degrees to 57.
The bite was much better, and Eion and I caught 4 bass between us. Still the bites were very soft and required some real attention to detect subtle strikes. I figure another 3 or 4 weeks and the bass should be in pre-spawn.
I suspect the practice on finicky winter largemouth will pay dividends for the kids when the spring transition starts.
Now if I could just train them to smile for a frickin' picture!
