This is good news

So we have been watching Europe lead the way in float tube fishing for years. Weather you agree or not you cannot disagree that they are light years ahead of us in this area.

I have been working for a few years to bring there products here to the US. This has been tough with many successes and some not so successful tries. It has been a blast to get to know new people and companies and learn all I can about there products. I have also heard plenty of dirt on competing companies

It was great new to recently hear the 2 stories of both BigMaxFloats and johnsamuel about there work to get a new belly boat from Europe. I am so excited to see that these boats are now starting to find there place here in the US. I am not under any impression that this is going to change anytime soon, but it can only help. The challenges for us to get these here are largely financial in some cases. I know that the cost is most often the biggest hurtle but I know that once people here in the US start to see these tubes for what they are (top quality fishing vessels) we will see more people reaching out to buy. Once that happens these companies will have more reason to be here selling there product.

I will be sure to follow up with Decathlon and of course Float Plus and let them know that there products are here. As I said before this wont change things that quick but it can only help.

Yes the cat's out now. I'm getting a FloatPlus 1 Belly Boat (as they call it). It wasn't super complicated to do but it was a process. I saw these new wheels on their website that glue on to the bottom of a float tube (or paddleboard) that retract and swing out of the way or could be removed once you reach the water. I thought they would be a cool add-on to the Maxxon since it's kind of cumbersome on land even though it's awesome on the water. I added them to cart but was unable to find the pull down in the shipping menu for the US. I emailed them to inquire when their products would be ready to ship to the US. They responded right away saying that the only things that were not able to be shipped to the states were the motors. So I confirmed if that included float tubes and they said yes. Well I wasn't really in the market for another tube but this one is awesome. After a bunch of emails back and forth, including some name dropping of Jeffcpr who has been an ambassador for them for a while now, an invoice was created for the wheels and a new FLOAT PLUS ONE tube. We had to do a PayPal request since I wasn't able to use the website directly. Once they received payment I got a tracking number and as of now its expected to arrive next Tuesday.
Once it arrives I will inflate it , to check it out of course, and take a bunch of photos and give an initial review. Then of course once I fish it I'll follow up with a on-the-water report.

Side note to all this is that the Bixpy motor slide and lock attachment is the same as the Float Plus 1 mount so I should be able to motorize this unit with the Bixpy motor I already have without waiting for the float plus motor to be ready for the states. I will also do a review on how the Bixpy motor works on the new tube. I'm super happy how it works on the Maxxon 240 and the Cumberland so hoping performance is the same or better on a tube that is actually designed to use a motor from the factory..

Looked them up. Very interesting, especially that clip-on motor (I guess that is IT; nothing above the tube). Quality? Will watch for reviews, where to get, etc. I can see a tad over a grand going away pretty quickly here. Cheers. j

Ya these tubes can be expensive but I really like this Float Plus 1 right now it is a very well thought out tube.

Finally arrived. Inflated just to check for any shipping damage. All is well and excited for first trip out. Hopefully in a couple weeks.
