Trabuco Canyon Camping

So we made it to the furthest sterethces of Santiago Canyon which I use to drive to get to work. We made it to Trabuco Canyon and Arroyo Campgrounds. What a truely amazing place to say the least. The park is amazingly clean and inviting. The camp sites are large and very scenic, and there is a creek I feel I might be able to fly fish (Fingers Crossed). Check it out.

They stock the stream in the winter. Best spots are the deep pools at water falls.

Do they still have the little r/c area at the start of the trail/dirt road?

If it's where I think you're talking about, it's funny to have a shopping mall uphill, and nearby.

A friend of mine used to fish the creek after a stocking, and he would do ok...I don't know with all this extra water this year, but he used to say it kinda dried up inbetween stockings.

From holy Jim canyon to about a mile west towards the paved entrance road the creek has water year around. A spring on saddleback mtn feeds it. Yes the rc plane port is still there. I used to live in portola hills which is right by cooks corner.
