I have really enjoyed reading these fishing related books and I have read quite a few in the last few years. I am currently reading a new one. All though I have had it on my bookshelf for a while now I have just got in to it. The book is written by Harold F. Blaisdell and is a Fairly old book written in 1969. It is basically one mans fishing Philosophy of fishing from his years on the water.
I will be sharing some of the gold I glean from this book as I go though it like this.
Quote from the book:
"Despite every possible expenditure of human ingenuity, fishing remains a game in which the fisherman comes out second best ninety-nine times out of a hundred. Fortunately for our pride, most of our defeats go unnoticed: it would probobly be completely demoralizing if we ever knew exactly how many trout refused our offering in any given mile of stream. In spite of all that we would like to believe we are actually no match for the fish, and it is only when one accepts the humility of this circumstance that he begins to appreciate the challeneg of angling"
