Not sure if this has been covered in the past, so I'll throw it out there.
At some point you may hook up with a baby Octopus, they are stealthy little hunters. Usually they just grab your bait with their tenticals (sp)and normally don't get hooked. All you need to do is Gently grab them and pull your bait away from them, then release them, as they usually take up residence in an old shell, or something they can hide in.
These little guys don't hurt anything, so please let em gently. Sea slugs on the other hand..YYYUUUKK!!!
