congrats on your new born!!Basshead wrote:Hey guys sorry I haven't been on the board for a while. Just had a baby boy so that's been eating up most of my time along with work but I have been able to get out on the new tube a few times and get some fish. I just wanted to check in and give my 2 cents on the cumberland tube.
I LOVE this tube.
It is very stable and definitely floats me higher than my buddies fishcat4. I normally have 4 rods with me when I go out since my local lakes have trout and bass and I hang everything from my rod rack and there is no tilt whatsoever. I get asked about my rod rack almost every outing and so far it has done everything I wanted it to do. Only thing I would change is the length of the front rod holder, it is a bit long and I have to lean forward a bit much to get it out when a fish hits. The only thing i would change on the tube is maybe a bit more storage but I think it's because I always take too much crap with me.
I would recommend this tube to anyone. I think it's one of the best bang for your buck and I would recommend it especially for ocean tubers since it is so stable, and handles boat wake very well. The customer service is also top notch. A few weeks ago I was getting ready to launch out of Irvine Lake and step backwards onto my valve and cracked it so bad it would hiss air out slowly. I called them and told them what had happened and they asked for my address and sent me a whole new bladder system free of charge, didn't even have to pay S&H. Didn't ask me to send in a receipt or my broken bladder. Just took my word for it and sent it out. Now I have one extra right bladder just in case.
Sorry for the extra long post but it has been a while and you guys helped me out so much with my tube I felt like I owed a decent review on my experiences. Hopefully this helps someone else out and feel free to ask me any questions.
