Hi float-fishers. We are a soon-to-retire couple who used to fly fish a lot but haven't fished much in the past couple decades. Expect to fish a lot more when hubby retires in July.

The lake we go to is cold, windy and high elevation. We don't have a boat, so I'm thinking float tube is the way to go.

Will appreciate hearing pros and cons of any float tubes out there. Thanks, folks!

Welcome Kimby,
there is plenty of information and tips on this web site to educate you and help you make good decisions. I just posted pictures of my Cumberland and a video of my Hollis Bat F1 dive fins on the forum. I am very happy with both of these choices.

Welcome to the site and there is alot of info here. You said cold windy and high elevation well its hard to kick in the wind and cold get some neopreme waders or breathable waders that are 2 sizes bigger so that you can put them over your closes . I would say to get a trolling motor as well because of the wind and an anker
