Hi all, Jim here. Just found this forum last week and have been lurking around checking it out. My dad and I float tube fished many years ago, back when the Fishmaster round tubes built in Oklahoma City were pretty much the standard. That was back in the late 80's, early 90's. I haven't tube fished since, and really hadnt fished much at all since he passed away back in September of '02. But, fate has a way of bringing us back to our roots if we let it... I re-married last year to a wonderful girl from Texas. She grew up in the country, and had fished before, but not seriously. She asked me last summer to teach her to fish, so we started going out, right before the drought dried up every pond in sight, and most of the lakes around here. This Spring has been a different story... we've fished like crazy for the last month or so. We were in Bass Pro OKC the other night, and she spotted the float tubes. She started asking me questions about what they were, how they were used, and where you could fish with one. After she found out that I used to tube fish, that was all it took... long story short, we came home with two new Caddis tubes... a Navigator II for me, and a Nevada Gold for her!! Looking forward to getting them out in the water this weekend for the first time!
