So when was the last time you took a look at inside of your reels.
So my thumb bar on my chronarch 200e7 has been sticking on me so I figured it was time to do a little bit of service and give some tuning a turn.
First I what to say Shimano is getting cheap with there parts. When I pulled the spool out I knew this wasn't going to be good as I seen rust. First time I have ever seen this in any of my reels.
So a complete tear down, soak, clean, sand and polished needed parts
Lite grease and drop of oil here and there and it feels better than new.
Now do I upgrade the bearings or leave it ?
Reel is done and will be put to work Saturday,
Working on a reel from Gilbert and I have 3 more to go. Here are a free pix
