Hey guys, So fishing is one of the things i enjoy most in this world it relaxes me and takes my stress away.
However, i also enjoy my music. I love listening to music while i fish. I have yet to try on the tube for fear of dropping musical devices or heaphones in the water .
My question is:Do you guys chance listen to music or do without?
And do u have any ideas about.how to waterproof said devices and headphones?

Ii don't anymore but I use to always listen to music will tubing. I would always use, my phone or back in the day my walkman (just dated myself) as far as keeping it dry I never had a problem with it in the chest pocket on my wadders. But as my devices get more expansive I get more worried. There are some great water proof cases out there now, but again as long as you stay conscious of your device it should be safe.

I don't know about that we are so close to the fish they music is bound to scare off the fishies. just get a cheep pair to fish with and have the good pair waiting in the car for after your tube session.

Think about the word "amuse". Muse means to think. The "A" prefix nullifies the action. Fishing is my thinking time. Not about the troubles of the world, but the blessings of my life and the wonders of God's creation. So, the only music I listen to is that of the birds and the wind... and occasionally the sound of a bass thrashing on the end of my line.

Way too much amusement in our world!

I use a Waterproof Apple iPod Shuffle with Waterproof Headphones  keeps it light and no worries of it being damaged in water .  it is waterproof down to 200 ft and 2gb holds aprox. 400-450 songs , it will vary on the length of the song  and about 10hrs of battery life on a charge .   about  , $150bux  , but if you look around may find it about $130  ...   WES

I usually listen to an audiobook when I'm fishing alone. I like the serenity of fishing and I think music distracts from the entire experience. However, I find that books are also an activity that relaxes me so combining the two is a great thing for me.

If you keep your ipod in the zipper pockets on your tube, just close it so the wire comes out, it locks your ipod in as well as protects it from splashing. You can run the wire through your shirt to prevent it from getting in the way because it will at times.

Listening to books pretty much makes my tubing days a sunup to sundown event Smile Just be mindful of your surroundings, you don't want to get hit by any boats while you can't hear.

I wonder, if the Girls-Gone-Wild makes both the guys and girls go wild, get stupid, and bite pretty into everything, would playing the videos make the fishes go wild and bite the hooks just the same? green happy Just geeky curiosity.
