Ive been messing around with my new prowler today and measuring all the sides so I can build my custom rack. After deflating everything is there any other way of storing the float tube? What Type of bags do you guys use or recommend because its taking up a good amount room and I dont want to keep the box after the beach or lake..

I leave mine about half full and store it on shelf in my garage. I have the room and it is ready to go with just a few puffs of air. It fits in the back of my Suburban or one of my kids pick ups, so I never really have to deflate it all the way.
Hope that helps.

Dear Sonny,

I'm with Jerdon.  I have two float tubes and a Creek Company Voyager in the garage and they are all at least 1/2 to 3/4's full all the time.

If you have a garage just screw a hook into a joist and hang the tube from the hook.  If you have a small car and can't transport the tube inflated then you will have to do something different.  There are all kinds of small duffle bags available to keep a tube in.  You can pay big bucks and buy the one the tube company has or you can buy one from Dick's or Sport Authority or whatever Big Box sporting goods store you have in your area.

An old gym bag will hold a tube, fins and pump if you remember what a gym bag is?  You have to be pretty old to remember them though.  Red Smile

Check out bigduffle.com for killer deals on bags. Where your boat has a bladder, it would be better to leave it inflated when possible. But you have urethane bladders so it is tougher than vinyl. Try to roll it up rather than fold.

Go to Home Depot and buy a wall mount hook (double hook) and screw into the wall. Outcasts tubes have a strap handle near the top (under) for carrying.  Space saving and very convenient. Also leave it 1/2-3/4 inflated so there are no creases if you decide to not tube for a while.

How do you reach your rods being so high? Monday I am going to do as you have for hanging the tube. Great idea, thanks

Once my new shed is finished, the toon will hang from the rafters on pulleys.
The toob will be deflated for seasonal storage and reside high on a shelf at the rear.
During the fishing season, it will hang on the wall, partially inflated.

I wish I had a bigger garage or even wall space. Seems like for now it will be in a large cargo/gym bag til I figure out another way. Thank you for all your help and ideas!

lol an extra 2 mins of pumping is not going to take that much time away from your fishing.

I usually deflate my tube completely and store it in a garage shelf. If I'm tubing more than 1X in a week then I'll leave it partially inflated. Leaving your tube inflated for too long doesn't help your valves.

Like I said, you have Urethane bladders, this is a good thing. Deflate, keep a cap on the valve, and ROLL the tube up.
I have a large garage, but I also have 6 inflatables with three being 10' and longer. I drive a small SUV.
I do have a flatbed trailer but I usually leave my two framed 10'6" on it inflated. The rest are rolled up and in a bag. Year round.

Sometimes I will inflate the seat area of my 9' inflatable to make it easier to pick up. Here is a Renegade in the back of a Grand Vitara. Motor, long handle net, Sonar, PFD, hip waders, boots, fins, oars, motor mount, large battery, two side bags full of gear, and four fly rods, LVM pump and small battery & a K-Pump. Passenger seat open.

I hate having rods just laying around so I maximized my space. Here's another view also showing the ceiling mount. Also from Home Depot for about $15.00 and it's super easy to install as the weight of the rods does not require to drill into the stud.

Same here. I copied these in plywood, and later in EPV foam:
