Planning for Nov. and Dec. of this year

Man this is going to be a busy 2 months for the board.  I am in talks with a very big group about possibly setting up a float tube fishing workshop, and then a float tube fishing derby.  What are we going to be doing, we will be the volunteers, out in force to help the public understand the in's and out's of float tube fishing.  It is important to know that this will not be a fishing event for us but a fishing event for kids and novice fisherman just learning.
This event well take place at Tri Cities Park in the city of Brea   I know what you are thinking Tri Cities Park what? but it will be a trout derby well stocked days before and we will have permission to use the lake for these two events.
We will be the ambassadors to the sport of float tube fishing, and we hope this will become an annual event.  As I plan out more details to this I will be sure to pass it along to everyone.  For know I just want to put it out there for everyone to know about.  

Some where around 20 years ago a buddy and I were headed to Santa Ana River Lakes. the weather was so bad that they closed it. We asked around we were pointed in the direction of Tri-City Park.
When we found it we started laughing because it looks a lake you would find at Disneyland. Absolutely pristine, no one fishing. We were determined to fish so we through a couple lines in the water and set up a make shift tent using a tarp and lawn chairs.
Spent a few hours playing football in the rain.
One of my favorite fishing memories of all time.

No one will be disappointed showing up at this place. It's small and awkward but effing beautiful and quiet.

That's awesome Jeff sounds like awesome plans are in store for the forum. I think this is a great idea.

Thanks guys I hope this works out for us and ya while the lake is small it would be a great place to be able to teach our sport to others and get them excited about float tubing.
