Hello everyone! I'll be heading to Florida right after my fishing tourney June 29th. I'll be driving with the family and trying to get out for a day of kayak fishing. Could anyone point me in the right direction for what kind of fishing license I need, and where I can buy one? I catch and release. Thanks!

WOW... fishing florida. Thats awesome. That place is certainly on my bucket list. Good luck out there the peacock bass look like they fight well. Tight lines.

crystal river, santa fe river, Suwannee River, St johns river, big bend area of the gulf, st augustine... oh yeah there is some sweet lakes.. N. florida.. I'm a yankey and dont know anything like good ol boys know. Those boys know there country. Be humble and respectful. There hospitality is amazing. the whole state is a fish bucket.

I'm really hoping to target the peacock bass on the fly rod.

I'm always looking for people fishing. I'll usually brake the ice when I pull out the fly rod and ask them if they wish to try it out. If they do try it out they most times will ask a ton of questions and I'll more likely get the info from them. And I'll sometimes give them a lure or two. But at a distance, I don't just go walking through their space demanding local info. I'll start by just asking how the fishing, and wait to feel out the vibe. Some will talk while others don't want to be disturbed while fishing. I'll be happy just paddling around. Cheers!

I remember watching some vids online of guys nailing 5lb+ peacocks in limestone quarries. The limestone is perfect for growing them big cichlids. Good luck dude and post an epic report.
