Met up with a buddy this morning at the LBC spot and found the fish I set out to catch. A halibut, which was 18" and a dink spotted bay bass, no measurement. Both were caught on a new unreleased color called greenback chovie by fools bait.

It was great this morning as the tide was a little higher than usual. We saw birds diving and bait fish all over the water. Time for you guys to get out and fish the LBC.

Some times. Losing a huge spottie last week has really stuck with me. I want a huge spottie and a legal halibut, so it is a game of odds. The more time on the water, it increases my odds of catching big ones. Sometimes the PM tide is much better than the AM so I will stop on my way home. Yes, I have a fishing addiction. Ha ha ha. I will be putting the tube in the water much more this summer, so lots of reports to come. Fishing the rocks is an easy way to fish for 1 hour and get my fix then off to work.

Nice,  I don't need a hall pass as I fish butt early before work at 7:00am.   Going to tube Newport next Friday from 6:00am to 9:45am if you want to meet up? Going after some huge spotties. It will be a tubing session.
