I need to buy my own fins.
I've been borrowing force fins and I love them

Can't decide between force fins, or hot spot fins

What do you guys say??

Thanks in advance
-Luke

Haha, thanks Ed. But it's time I buy my own. Got robbed on a pair last night on eBay. I was high bid all day, then with 30 seconds left, someone bid a dollar more

Howdy Luke ,

I just sold my Force Fins in December on Ebay . Went with a dive Fin and I could not be happier , now I can actually move the water quicker due to the fin being longer (Which was a huge issue with me and the FF) . I notice no strain on my legs , which the FF provided as well . but now i can move Thumbs Up

Wes

Got to chime in with the most here and say Force Fins! Just remember to get the ankle straps, they dont float!

Yo Luke,
I say if you like the Force Fins get em. If you do a search on the HotSpots most of the guys who like them compare them quite favorably with the FF's if cost is a deal breaker. And wiseguy is right, the FF will sink, I dropped one last summer. I did a report comparing Omega Flip Fins to my old FF here

I've used Caddis fins before, when starting out (didn't know about Force Fins 25 years ago.)  After recently getting back into tubing/tooning, I now have Force Fins at the suggestions of my buddies. I find them easier to handle.  With knee problems, I worried quite a bit about fins. I find I don't have any problems associated with the fins afterwards and they seem to do a good job propelling me through the water (but I have a pontoon and row part of the time.)

p.s.  Luke, I made my own leashes. under $11 and no work involved.

Jerdon, I have read many times here that Force Fins float like rocks.  But, I have set my Force Fins adrift, albeit at the launch beach, and while not riding out of the water, they stayed at the surface.  I guess that slight bit of foam on the adjustable Force Fins helped a little.

I should clarify that. The adjustable Force Fins do float or stay adrift, the adjustable top is neoprene or close to it and seems to float. The non adjustable fins are the ones that sink.
