On the days I'm not fishing...

well guys, I'm looking for an opinion/your thoughts. Along with doing this for a little while( and a recent post has me deciding to share) and using joe's flies for quite some time, I started "making my own." But by that I have to admit its more of a modification. I'm really only removing treble and then adding what i want. I found some squid skirts that work well and use both dry flies (yeah I know, not meant for that) streamers and others. I start with mepps or panther martin spinners. let me know whatcha think! any questions or comments welcome!

the single hook flies get hit on occasion, haven't tried the squid skirts yet. got that idea from salmon lures, figured its a maybe for trout. mine are a bit smaller than salmon lures on market.

Ideal spot for those have to wait 2 more months but up in the moni county area fish go insane over those about 25 feet of water mid lake youll nail some bigg boys down!!

they are definitely going up to mammoth lakes with me this year, I usually hit the sierras twice a season. the squid skirts are 2 in. saltwater model from basspro, but any small skirt will work.
Start by cutting off treble hook at the eye, add small split ring, either the fly or another treble after pushing it up trough skirt, then trim tentacles. that's it!

Very nice . I'm digging the olive one and black spinner good job looks nice. Those should kill in the streams
