Area fished: Boat Launch
Light cloud cover blowing by, Breezy to gusty winds
Air Temp: 77
Water Temp 66 to 68
Water Clarity 8  feet or more
Depth: shoreline to 15 feet deep
Time 12 noon to 3 PM

I got a chance for a few hours out this afternoon. Air temp was warm so I decided to trunk it. Water is warm enough to ditch the waders if you have some sun on you. The water is as clear as I can ever remember right now. I could see 8 feet down and more when the wind wasn't blowing. I was working a spot I know holds a few beds but I could not set the hook. I  got few tugs and missed.   I could see my line moving and swing, but he/she was not holding the bait by much, or just pushing the bait.

I got the skunk.

Waters still a little too cold for me. I need 72( goes up every year Sad ) or my calves cramp. I'm also sitting in instead of sitting above the water so that I'm sure makes a difference. Waders are getting a little warm and stuffy out there with no breeze. Can't wait till I can get wet too.

I haven't hit anything at the ramps this year yet either but it looks so good.

Did you notice the green carpet covering just about everything now? Weeds should be popping up soon Very Happy

Thanks boys!

bugger, I did drag up some moss and see some very small clumps floating around. And yes, 66 is the lower limit to leave the waders behind, but I knew I only had till 3pm and the sun was warm.

No no! We are all good at Perris. They want to inspect your tube for the quagga muscle, but plenty of people tube there.
I was there Monday.
