Fishing Gloves

I picked up a pair of fishing gloves on ebay for less that $3 delivered. 
These seem as well made as plenty of other sub $40 gloves

I know that is not a tube in the pic, but the report is only on handling the fishing poles and reel.

I took them out once so far and they work great. They are nylon so they dry fast and the rubber studs on the palm work great.

Well, I hate to burst your bubble, but being 60 DOES have its advantages. My brother talked about Jersey gloves. I said, but you can't feel very well. His response: " You can't feel much with frozen fingers!"

Well, I kinda found a compromise: mechanics gloves.  SERIOUSLY! Go to an auto supply and check them out!!!

Then you can cover the rest of your hand with those silly "gangsta" fingerless ones.

Hey Poboy, I do have mechanix gloves. But I can't thumb the spool accurately with them, or do you have some that leave the fingers out? Being from SoCal I use the gloves to keep the sun off my hands as opposed to keeping warm.

Fair enough, but what would that take? Snipping a 1/2" off the thumb. The original question I thought was for cold.

Soooo...right or wrong...that's my advice...it either applies or not. I thought a high SPF sunscreen was sun protection. I'm in N. Central Texas, and we get some cold weather here at times...if you call 16° f cold.

Thanks for the cheap glove recommendation Jerdon. I may have to look into getting some myself

Heck, at $2.50 all in you could buy a new pair every six months for three years for the cost of one pair of mechanix gloves. I'm in!
