Those big hamers in the photo are good but I have better luck on the Sassy Shads pictured in the article.

Nice write up there Kirk, I have not tried the Sassy shad really only used the hammers. You wont to get out into the harbor, let us know when and we will try to find a few guys to head out with you bro.

Thanks Jeff on Aug 20th. I have a family picnik to attend at Tri City park hopefully I get a chance to fish the lake Aug 19th. might work.

The plans are in the works 19th we will see what is happening

I allways seem to have better luck using three or four inch grubs instead of the swimbaits for some reason.

i've had some pretty good strikes with the grubs recently. where do you get yours? i have trouble finding different patterns.

Kenny's tackle on central and foothill in Upland has some Small hammers and jig heads I found some Sassy Shads at B&F Tackle in Ontario. I have also found Sassy Shads at a swap Meet. Bass Pro has Sassy Shads as well as their generic brand (they work).

Grubs are great baits I throw them in both fresh and salt water, if the grub is working for you stay with it but if you want to try something new the swimbaits will work.
