High School Fishing Club

So just wanted to share, myself and another teacher on campus decided to start a fishing club at our school for the students. We did not know what you expect and we did not do too much promoting to lead up to the first meeting. We were very excited to see a group of about 25 kids show up.

This was amazing the kids are all over the place as far as there abilities. Some have been hardcore fishermen for years now others fished once or twice in there life and want to learn more. They are already looking to build a logo for shirts and hats and are looking at fundraising opportunities as well.

We will be teaching knot tying and casting, as well as lure fishing techniques and conservation as well. Of course, we will be fishing as well .This could be a great opportunity to grow as a fisherman for myself and to help teach the next gene the joys of fishing. Just wanted to share we are excited to get this started and really excited to see the same from the kids.

It’s really cool to hear that the kids are taking such an interest in learning about fishing!  
Will you be introducing float tube fishing to the kids as well?

At any rate ... they’ll have a great instructor!  

Heck! ... even I could use a few “how-to” pointers!

You better believe I will talking Float Tube Fishing.  This is all a learning process for everyone it should be a lot of fun.

That is awesome. I remember we had a club my freshman year and had a trip on the gail force with Dan Hernandez. He brought his TV crew and everything. Don't know if that ever made it to his show but it was cool.
That is an awesome thing you are doing. Keep up the good work.

Dude thanks very much for the help in locating this for us. I will look into it more and see if it will work for us. This is just starting out and I am sure will grow fast but there is still plenty to do and learn along the way. Thanks again Kin for the heads up.
