This starts for all on July 8th and will run till midnight Sept 1st. There will be a tournament card sent out to everyone a day or 2 before the event starts. You will need to print off the card and waterproof it somehow (Laminate or sandwich bag there are other ideas). This card must be in each picture you take to prove it was caught during the tournament. All pictures will be posted in a specific thread and that will be attached in a PM with the tournament card.
You can only post 5 fish per week and each fish must show clear measurements as well as clear tournament card. Any picture that is unclear could be marked as no points and in the event of a close call, I have 3 other judges that will look to help me clarify. All fish must be caught and photographed in your float tubes to count. The only exception is a trophy fish that needed to be beached to handle correctly.
Below are ways to earn extra points during the tournament and give you a shot at improving your position in the standings.
1. All fish are approved by length, in the event you catch a large trophy fish be sure to both measures and weigh the fish. Measurement and weight will be needed to verify the largest species of fish caught.
2. Challenge points. First, if you catch any 3 species on the approved tournament list of legal length in one week (defined as Monday - Sunday), you will receive 10 extra points. These challenge points can only be scored once in a week and cannot be a combination of freshwater and saltwater fish. It can only be one or the other.
3. Finally Longest in all species. You can win an extra 5 points for having the longest fish of each species at the end of the Tournament. You can win multiples as well as freshwater and saltwater if you do have the longest fish in each species category. Example, at the close of the tournament you have the longest Large Mouth Bass, Catfish, Carp, Spotted Bass, and Halibut, you will receive 25 extra points to your final total.
Finally, we will at the end have 2 winner one on the saltwater side and one on the freshwater side. These will be our first place winners and they will receive the Cumberland float tubes. We will then be raffling off 4 to 6 more prizes to everyone that posted at least 1 fish during the tournament. In the raffle, the persons that got 2nd place on both sides will get 3 spots in the raffle and those that got 3rd place will get 2 spots everyone else will receive one spot. Any questions please don't hesitate to ask and I will be sure to answer them all. Guys lets have fun and be safe.
