Took my son out to Trinidad Island for his first ever float tube experience. It was a nice cool morning was on the water by 9-915. Launched at low tide. We went up and down the channle there throwing everything at them and only had a few bites. Then late in the day we were drifiting some Gulp under the bridge and BAM! he had a fish on. He caught a nice yellowfin croaker for his first ever tube fish. Unfortunately we didn't get a picture as i was getting the phone ready for the picture the fish squirted out of his hands and back into the drink. I was as excired as he was for his first tube fish. He seems to really enjoy it so he is the proud new owner of the HULK...I am glad he caught something, because it was a slow day and feeling like i have failed to put him on a fish was really getting to me..lol. I caught one spottie that day right afrer he caught his croaker. I think that spottie would have got me some point in the tourney but I forgot my tourney sheet. That is okay as this trip was more focused on getting my son out there on the tube. Thanks for reading and tight lines.
