WELL! This Was A New Type Of Gear Failure!

Has this ever happened to anyone else out there?

I returned home and I unpacked from my recent trip and now I'm ready to take the time to reassemble my float tube; for salt water fishing, but I needed to inflate it first ... so I stuck the inflation nozzle from the air-pump into Boston Valve and ..

YEP! ... IT SPLIT the plastic Boston Valve.
It was probably a combination of UV rays, heat and too many inserts of the nozzle for inflation ...

I always have a back up Boston Valve .. so I'm never down for too long.

I dissected everything off the failed valve and I re-assembled a Frankenstein Boston Valve from a few not so good valves that I've been saving up ... just for this very opportunity.

I threaded-in the re-built Frankenstein Boston Valve

I stuck the inflation nozzle from the air-pump into Boston Valve and

YUP! ... I'm totally ready for tomorrow's session.  Thumbs Up
