Look like it will catch fish to me! Foam flies are great floaters.

Oh yea that will catch. I grew up a trout guy in New Mexico fishing the rio grande and its tributaries. Have you ever tried making sponge balls Jeff? Highly effective on salmon, trout, grayling, and the like bud. You make them yourself and can either throw it under a float, as a trailer on a spoon, or just by itself. Ive caught cut throats, rainbows, and brookies on em
