I’m not a new tuber or a new member. it just feels like i am.
I got back on a tube yesterday for the first time in years.
After a couple of moves, i sold my togiak and accessories along with some of my gear bcuz of some hardships.
I moved to Big Bear Lake a few years ago and was fishing from shore.
I missed tubing so i bought a Cumberland, got some thrusters and i was gonna take my tube out on the maiden voyage.
Well not even a week after receiving my tube, I tore the muscles in my calf. 2 months after that got covid and ended up in the hospital for a few weeks. Well after trying to rebuild lung strength and muscles at the same time. I was finally clearly from PT for the leg. And we’ll i breathe waaayyy better that i did when i was sick. The Dr says my lungs may never be where they once were. But it’s hardly noticeable.
Anyway, i’ve met a couple guys out here who are also fishermen and float tubers, We went out yesterday and had a blast. No fish were caught till after i left. 7lb Catfish. But now that i can actively be back on the water i will be posting some pics and vids.
Side note: My buddy i sold my togiak to hadn’t used it as often so he GAVE it back to me minus the spreader bar and pump but he also gave me a White River float tube(U boat not round tube), Which i have to another fisherman who needed a tube.
Anyway, It’s good to be back ON the water and on the tube. I look forward to posting pics and vid’s for you guys.
