Floating rod holder

What do you think guys would this work out for a ride hold idea for float tube fishing.  I could see this attached loosely off the side to the d-rings.  What do you think.

It’s OK until you work your way underneath the walkway planks to the docks and underneath low mooring ropes. High tide situation could be worse.
It’s still an interesting idea!

As SP Dan said, interesting idea, but its a, nope on a rope for me.

Just add a tilt down function to the rod holders for travel under overhead obstructions.

My mind is working now there has to be something we can do to make this better for a float tube.

Sure, I'll add this to my pull-me trolling motor setup so I'll have a float tube train: in case you didn't get my sarcasm, that's a Nope!

Too many things to manage and I'd probably be better off just dropping a skiff in the water.

Same for using it wading the flats... there'd have to be zero current and zero chance of me forgetting that I waded that channel at low tide to get to the sand bar to get close enough to throw at the leaping halibut.

It just seems to be too much extra to manage... unless you're using live bait.
