good tangle-free net

Searched, but weird stuff came up. I am looking for a small landing net (approx 12" fish) that is REALLY tangle free and won't let hooks penetrate it. I'm sick to tears of trout spinning//rolling in mesh and a fly penetrating the mesh. Amazon reviews are, as usual, flooded with 1's and 2's. Should I just pick a winner and hope, or is there a "generally accepted" net with my desired specs? Short handle is fine; I can add if need be. Thanks. j

That is interesting a tangle free net.  Off the top of my head I don't know but now I also want to do some research on this.  Let see what we can find.

The rubber nets are supposed to be a lot better and getting fish/flies out, but I would like feedback from users, not sellers.

I used a net like this for a few years. Rubber, nothing wants to stick to it, crankbaits don't penetrate but hang on sometimes.

It floated away one trip and I replaced it with another net. Not as good.

Replaced  the mesh on an old Frabill net with amazon rubber
