Get to the lake around 6:00am and there are 15 cars in front of me. Take my time getting ready and waiting for a friend to show up. Beautiful morning, not many people on the water or on shore, glassy conditions.

No action until 9:00 am when the wind started to BLOW. I was on the east end and whitecaps started to come over the side of the tube. I honestly started to pucker up out there and headed to the launch ramp to review my options. Decided to just let the wind blow me to the south end but I was going to stay as close to the west bank to help break some of the wind. It was Mr Toads Wild Ride.
I finally break the skunk at 11:00 with a 1.9# tail walker. Throw my line back in, mistake, and start to tie up another pole. You guessed it, I get a bite, pole bends over, drag screams and then the line fails at the knot. ALWAYS re-tie your knot after catching a fish. Hard day fishing and kicking against the wind but still had fun.
