Recommendation, an Alabama rig (used to just rig a simple 3 hooks on one line) 3 arms, either 3 of blue/white color scheme spinners, 3 perl plastic swimbaits, or go for broke on the squid pieces.

The boys may have something different.

We used to slow troll with kayaks just a short way off shore there at CDM. Used silver scrounger's and bumped the bottom all along the entire beach. Caught lots of very nice halibut here. Live bait like smelt or grunion also worked great when we could get it, using a Carolina rig and nose hooking the bait. Casting from the jetty for me was not usually very productive.
