That is a Monster of a catch I would be very proud of that one for sure.

To bad they Didnt release it the meat cant taste any good at that size. Sad its a cat it could have made it to the scales and back to the water.

I was coming back (hiking) from the north shore to the marina.
I saw a small crowd of people gathering by the consession and noticed two guys holding up this massive creature.
I was dehydrated at that time and wanting to go buy some water.
Instead i went to see about what was going on and the old man was just as exhausted as i was.
Took a few pics and video.
The old man was saying how he wanted to put the fish back in the live well but the marina staff said not right now.
I didnt stay long enough to see what happened to the fish if it was released or not.
Went got some water and hiked to the north east end.
I gathered up some info from the fella who caught it.
He said he was using 6 lb test and shrimp.
He was fishing all alone on his boat.
Very amazing catch!

Yeah thats 2 records set sofar far this year at dvl. The week before last a guy caught a 4.48 lb red ear sunfish. The record bass n striper are comin around the corner. Hopefully on my line

Wow that's a big fish. 6lb test?? Must have not put up much of a fight. Only caught a few cats in my life are they good fighters or just big old lazy fish?
