I started late about 12:30 pm I started to walk around the lake and spotted a bass that appeared to be on a bed she was alone (often I see them in pairs on beds). I cast a grub she chase it but did not bite, I then tried a finesse creature bait she moved the bait but I could not get a hook set, Then I tried a Gary Yamamoto Flapping Hog Green Pumpkin red flake on a football jig head. That worked I could not see the bass take it but my line started to move when I set the hook I never felt the bite. I reeled the fish in took a couple of photos and released the fish the bass went straight back to the bed

Nice fish. I recall watching a fishing show where the guy would scuba in fresh water lakes and film bass and other fish. It's amazing to see how aggressive they can be when on a bed and how quickly they go right back to that bed after being caught. He even got a male fertilizing eggs on camera.
