best all around fins

new to tubing i am using some fines my son-in-law let me barrow until i get some of my own. can any one point me in the right direction as to what kind of fin to get? i would like to get around the lake fairly fast but have control and something that might be able to help me when going against the wind?

any ideas? also do not have a lot to spend. times is tight in my house.

Force Fins, Scubapro Twin Jet Fins, Hot Spot Fins. Look on craigslist for all and find a killer deal.

Diving fins I agree with craigslist good place to look. Just make sure if you have stocking waders, make sure it is an ujustable strap behind the heal of the fins. But all fins that wiseguy posted are great, and any dive fins will fit the bill.

Hot spots.
I just bought a pair and took them out on 2 outings now. So far no complaints here, even after kicking against the current.

And they float (at least mine did in salt water)

Hot Spot fins,.. made just for float tubing! or thats what the guy at turners told me lol na im jk, thats what Doug Beard says,.

My vote for Hot Spot Fins for all around. I have Force Fins but I only like them in fresh water.

dont mean to steal this thread but whats the difference from the Hot spot fins vs the force fins?

I have seen and read a little bit about the force fins but I couldn't find anything on the hot spot fins, any body are to shed some light?

I have to say Hammer can move through the water pretty dam fast and easy in those fins! So I definitely concede them to be top notch.

I would like to make an observation. I have a pair of FF that I used to wear with just my neoprene stocking feet of my waders. I loved them. Then I decided to start wearing a neoprene boot and realized I need a larger pair of fins. Ed let me use a pair of his FF that fit over my boots. The performance was increased from what I have been used to. I have a pair of Plano scuba fins that I am wearing now. I had originally bought them when I started tubing but put them away for the FF. They fit my boot foot. They seem to perform better with the boot than they did previously as well. So I stick with them. If I was going to look into a set of fins again I would look at the same as Hammer is using. They perform. I have always been curious about Hot Spot fins but I never find them anywhere. I used to use Jet Fins back in the day and I often wonder how they would perform in this application.

I use Force Fins cuz I think they are the best for maneuverability especially in shallow water and dense cover. As far as speed and long haul? I rely on Minn Kota! Hee, Hee,!

I use Aeris Mako dive fins ($60) and I usually have to wait for my buddy that has the $200 Force fins. The dive fins are lighter and longer.

The best all around fins are my fins. They get me all around.

got rid of all my fins and only keep my force fins i have know problem with them in any condition but it could be just me with my super strong chicken legs lmao
