I got a set of used Mares Avanti Plana fins today on eBay.
The budget just wasn't gonna take the hit for the "good stuff," so it's used dive fins.

On another tubers site (yes, there's another) Razz people gave the Mares several favorable mentions. Enough, in fact, that they got added to my short list of "Fins Mentioned Favorably by Tubers."

I know one guy here that uses something like them, although I dont know the exact sort. That'd be Jeff, but not the Jeff that runs the group.

So for now, these are XL size. Once I have them, I'll find some boots.

I just couldn't pay the entrance fee for FFs
I get it, the best and all that.

But you do what you can. These will work as long as I can buffer them with booties/boots and wader feet.
They should have the room

I've had great luck with
The U.S. divers blades dive fins but I'm also a certified diver so they kinda pull double duty for me
I get around well in my tube and 40 ft below the surface lol

Kinda long but great propulsion with less effort

Works for me Very Happy

Got to go with the majority on this one, Force Fins here, second I'd have to go with Scuba Pro Twin Jet fins, amazing fins, but pricey also. I scored a used set some time ago and love those also.

Since they're dive fins, are you going to get fin keepers?  Also, curious, you looking for dive boots to use with them and are they going over your waders? Won't it get tight in there? I like my adjustable Force Fins with my stocking foot waders and flats boots (easy to get in and out.) And with that combo, I needed the adjustable straps on the fins, else it was tough sledding.

Yes, keep us informed on how they work.

Leashes are great. The neoprene padding in the adjustable ForceFins help them float just a little (more like keep them suspended.)  Fin Keepers are for dive fins without the leash (a strap that keeps constant tension on the heel/ankle, sole and top of the foot so the fin can't come loose.) Someone mentioned them to me when he suggested Cressi fins as an option for tubing.
