Getting back into tubing. Currently in an ODC 420 and I’ve got the real flat over the boot fins, I guess for back packing? I always knew they weren’t the greatest but I make them work. Looking to upgrade, do I have to bleed from the wallet for Force Fins? Or are there other good options? Outcast Vpower are on the radar, even saw some knock off ones that look like them on Amazon. I have a pair of the Cumberland ones on the way, just not sure I wanna go with a diving boot over my stocking foot waders? Any opinions?

I have moved to a dive boot over my waders about 4 years ago. So wish I would have done that before. That is me and serves me well. As for fins use what you got and your muscles will conform to them in time. I know there is so e quality difference but in my opinion over time you get use to what you have.

I use a flats boot over my stocking foot waders as well. It is a lot more convenient to walk down to the water and pull the fin over the boot.

I have used a variety of fins, but I always come back to the Force Fins.

I agree with Jerdon.

I luv Force Fins, and I would never use anything else!
If you shop around, you can find them on eBay or by somebody who’s getting out of the float tube sport.

One of the best investments you’ll ever make!
Stay away from dive fins, they just cause leg fatigue.

I found a pair of the adjustable Force Fins used for at least considerably less than retail, so I’m going to give them a try. So many people seem to love them, so I went for it. Crossing my fingers I love them as much as mostly everyone else does. I just want to have something reliable and get out and fish.

Stupid question but due to the shape of the Force Fins is the kicking technique different?

I am sure you will enjoy, be sure to let us know what you think. As for needing to kick different I don't think that is an issue. The shape just channels the water. Some fins take more effort to kick and others take less.
