2 years past pretty quickly Very Happy I still ever now and then log in and check for new posts and mods. Greetings from Finland!

The images I shared expired almost immediately when I uploaded them, lets have another go about the rod holder mod. The mod works really well, still intact and in use. Works for spinning rods too (at least for ultra light setups with small reels). What I really like about the mod is that it is fixed into the tube itself and is so small it doesn't affect in any way when I need to deflate and pack the tube into the storage bag. A couple of another mods in the pic too, a fast-attach/remove adjustable stand for a waterproof Android tablet (display for Deeper sonar) and a simple storage box mod.

I'm working on another mod now which I think will end up awesome. There is only one thing I hate about float tubing and with this one a float tubers life should become much easier.. But I'll probably post that soon here Smile

OK actually it isn't a float tube mod but a kayak trolley into float tube trolley -mod:

I think this might really work. Haven't really tried it more than that on the video yet.

Ended up improving the trolley a little, added 25mm aluminium support bar for the side pontoons so that they won't get in touch with the wheels even at heavier loads and changed the vertical/rotating support bar into aluminium too. Shame that I happened earlier today to fully empty and clean the tube so no tests yet but I already planned for this kind of change yesterday when I had the tube fully inflated so the support bar should be on the correct height.

Typically the are just connected to D-Rings with zip ties or small carabineers.

That is probably one of the best wheel/dolly set-ups I’ve ever seen on this site!
Thank you for sharing it with us! 👍🏼

I actually have been thinking about something similar for a pontoon boat that I've never taken out...thanks, this is a good idea, along with the horizontal support bar to keep the pontoons off the wheels...last week I acquired a dolly in anticipation of actually making something work.

Zip ties, bungies, tool velcro, carabiners, straps, cam buckles
to D rings, frame, milk crates etc

The world is your oyster......
My cheap Berkly plastic rod holders just migrate from tube to tube.
Since I cast righty, I mount on left side.

My first boat was a CA Colorado XT that I picked up for a couple bills off Craigslist (dang if they ain't $$$$ now). Loved thst boat although it was a heavy beast.
I absolutely HATED that mono wheel. Extra weight, PITA to use so I usually left it at home and muscled the boat to the water.

Flukes system above would have been a gamechanger.

Sold it to buy a Creek Company Sport.
