ok well i hit the pud up yesterday for the first time in my new fat cat and i took bao along with me for his first time ever float tubing in his new ODC420.

the point of the day was for us to break in our new rigs so the target fish was just some pan fish. It wasn't a great day of fishing but it wasn't a bad one either.

here is bao getting his destroyer ready

here is the first lil blue gill of the day for me. the first fish was actually caught by bao.

this is my third or forth fish of the day and it is a beautiful fish. blue gills must be the pretties fresh water fish there is

and now we got a lil red ear i picked up

in the end i had a total count of 15 while bao confessed to a total of 8 C&R

Gills are a lot of fun in the tube when you find the. Fishing is fishing and you both had a great time on the water it looks like. Thanks for the report keep them coming.

Hey, nice pictures! Your new tubes
look great too. Gills are pretty fish
aren't they? Out here in the Midwest,
with the drought this summer, the rivers are very low so the catfish
fishermen are using gills about that size as live bait. (Not sure but I think that's illegal??) They are hauling in lots of 30 to 40 pound flatheads though. I can't help but think this has got to be doing damage to the cat population cause these guys
rarely catch and release. With water
levels so low it's like fishing in a
barrel,cause all you have left is the "holes" I'm not too taken with the whole idea. I'm sticking to the ponds and gravel pits and having a ball getting to know all the bass in a more personal way,and then letting them go so I can come back and see them another day! One of these days when the gills are hitting topwater I am going to bring a mess home and clean them cause my 82 year old Mother has been pleading with me to bring her over some to eat!

also im going to try and see what i can do about getting a team 57 float tube,kayak and personal pontoon exclusive event some time in the trout season at one of out sponsor lakes.
