Picked up some rubber strips that are used for transporting glass sheets.

seems like it might work. just need to find a way to keep the rods secured.

Looks nice. Maybe some bungee cord attaching to the frame and going over the rods to hold them down...

Good job on that one. Maybe a soft velcro tie would work? (the kind for microphone cables) like this:

For Velcro, I was thinking more of glueing 2 pieces on either side of a slot and then using the opposing piece as a loop over the slot. Easy to open and strong enough to hold anything in.

velcro could work. maybe use rivets instead of glue.

was thinking of using a retractable badge holder and have it go across the whole rod holder.

If you use a good brand of Velcro it will hold for sure. I've used it to hold batteries onto aerobatic model planes and it holds. Smile
