Hello All,

Wondering what y’all recommend for a Rod Holder.

I have a Cumberland Float Tube and would like something that can hold 3 rods but any recommendations for 2 or 1 rod holders help, I used a fabricated diy one I saw on YouTube but it seems to just get in the way instead of being useful. Any YouTube links to a good DIY setup you recommend would work also.

Also, I’m 6’3 300lbs the Cumberland is pretty comfortable just wondering if there is anything better with a decent price point for my size

Any Feedback is Much Appreciated
Thanks Everyone

If you are located in SoCal, I have a rod rack for sale.
I've built quite a few and I have finally got it dialed in, I wouldn't fish without it.
I personally carry (3) three rods.

PS ... Check out my posting: Reduced $ NIB Cumberland Float Tube w/ Rod Rack for ideas.

I hope that this was helpful. Good luck! Thumbs Up

Welcome to the forum rayprado714.
If you dont want to make them yourself Castmate makes a nice system. The set Dan is selling looks good as well.

If you do a search for rod racks or rod holders here you will find quite a bit. Hanging the rack from the D-Rings and using a bungee to pull the holder down is the sturdiest set up I have found so far.

Happy Hunting

Welcome rayprado714 glad you found us, I agree with the rod rack info above CastMate Rod Racks are great and the one SP Dan has made is great as well. As for a better tube at that price point, I don't think you can find it. The Cumberland is a top-notch tube, but there is a company called Seven Bass Design USA that has some other tubes that might be what you are looking for. Cost is high but so is the quality of there product.

Welcome, rayprado714!

What problem are you having with your rod holder? I mean there are simple fixes like shortening the tube lengths or moving it to the other side of the tube. Because I'm right handed, I keep my Castmate rod holder on the left side of my tube.

Any rod holder that you can use to hold a sleeper rod with a second bait in the water is going to need to be at your side, so you can grab it easily, but if you just want rod storage, you can secure some pipe to a plastic bucket and put it behind your seat.

Good luck and let us know how it goes!
